This "Railroad Map of Indiana" was created by the Indiana State Board of Tax Commissioners as a reference showing the myriad of owners responsible for Indiana's railroads circa 1895. The state's substantial rail network is color coded, which each color identifying the owning entity in the left index. This particular map was scanned by the Library of Congress and released to the public domain. We digitally restore the map to repair obvious damage while preserving its patina.
